In 2015, I had the opportunity to dine at a number of spectacular restaurants in the Big Apple. The formality of the restaurants vary from white tablecloth to hole-in-the-walls, and the cuisine types are equally diverse, from Caribbean to French. Here, I present the top 5 NYC restaurants I visited during 2015.
Scheduling a Dinner before a Broadway Show: Avoid Midtown or Take the Plunge?
I had tickets to the Tony-Award winning Broadway show Kinky Boots on a Monday night at 8pm with a couple of out-of-town visitors (a post on Kinky Boots will be coming soon). I needed reservations at a nice restaurant in Midtown West to share a meal with my visitors before the show. Now, I normally avoid Midtown West like the plague. I don’t work in the area, so I have no need to be there. Furthermore, the packs of tourists trying to take panoramas and people in off-brand cartoon character costumes asking you for money that fill the neighborhood are not my cup of tea. With visitors in town and tickets to a great Broadway show nearby, however, I could convince myself to visit the touristy neighborhood.
Welcome to my blog! With my first post, I would like to introduce myself and the purpose of this blog, as well as give you a hint about what’s to come!
